What is the DiSC Profiling System?

DiSC is a simple, memorable and powerful model for helping us increase self-awareness, improve our personal and professional relationships, get the very best out of ourselves and others. It’s made up of four basic styles: D, i, S, and C, which relate to the default behavioural strategies we tend to use in a given setting.

Everyone is a blend of all four DiSC styles – though usually one or two styles stand out. Unlike some personality tests, there is no ‘perfect’ DiSC style. Since each person has a unique behavioral profile, people are walking around all over the world with different styles, strengths and priorities. I believe that these differences are extremely valuable, and understanding them can allow us to develop ourselves as individuals, harness the unique value we can bring, and from this place of strength, evolve as a more flexible human being.

This subsequently leads to better communication at home and in the workplace, greater effectiveness and productivity, and therefore healthier teams and organisations. Collectively we could all benefit from understanding the DiSC model!
